R&D Report 1954-31 : The performance of some American convertors and tuning units for television reception in the U.H.F. band.
R.V. Harvey, G.F. Newell
The results of tests on some current American u.h.f. television converters and tuning units are described. The performance of the better types is extremely good; the noise factor is low, and the drift of the local oscillator frequency after switching on is not excessive in view of the current American practice of intercarrier reception of the sound signal.
